Baked Spaghetti
For my husband’s birthday this year, he requested baked spaghetti. There were two problems with that request. No, actually there were three. I had never made baked spaghetti, I didn’t even have a recipe and I discovered later that we didn’t have any spaghetti on hand. I had a lot of other pasta noodles except that one. Pinterest to the rescue! (at least for the first two problems) I went to Pinterest and searched for Baked Spaghetti and found one seemed pretty easy by The Cozy Cook. It’s Harvest Time!
It’s Harvest time here in Iowa and all around the Midwest, which also means that allergies are acting up as well. The first day of Fall for us here in North Central Iowa was not sweater weather either. Nope; in fact, this week is 80 degree weather for us. Our sweater weather was last week. Walmart Clothing Try-On
I tried something new today on my Essential Farm Wife Instagram page. I posted an Instastory try-on with three new pieces from Walmart’s Time and Tru line. I shared one of their new cardigans, a jean jacket and a red and black Buffalo checked shirt. I think pretty much all of Walmart’s clothing is affordable and the Time and Tru line is my favorite. These clothes wash and wear so well. I’ve been pretty happy with them thus far. You can find my Essential Farm Wife Instagram page at the bottom of the Home page. Click the blue Follow on Instagram button and once you’re at my page, you can…

A Bunch of Thoughts
First things first…today is September 11th. A date that forever will be engrained into many Americans minds. You hear that date and you instantly think back to the events and where you were when you heard the news that our country was being attacked. I was a sophomore in college, driving to my first class that morning, when I heard what was happening to the World Trade Centers. It was during my second class that morning when we were informed classes were dismissed for the rest of the day. While I do not know anyone personally who died on September 11, 2001 or anyone related to someone who passed that…

Cool Whip Cookies
My mom has been making these cookies for as long as I can remember. I think some may call them Crinkle cookies. The wonderful thing about cool whip cookies is that you can make them in any flavor you want, as long as there is a cake mix for it.
