Hindsight is 2020
I know so many of us cannot wait to bid farewell to 2020. But, honestly, not all of 2020 was bad. I’m seeing a lot of Facebook and Instagram posts the past few days of people looking back over the year and I thought I would do the same. I’m going to share with you just a few things I’ve learned, or rather been reminded of during this crazy year. Lessons and Reminders during 2020 God is good all the time. Even in a year with a pandemic. I have known all my life that God is good and that He is good all the time. There were times this…

Support Local-Shop Small
Good Morning! I want to talk about shopping small businesses for the holiday season. Small Business Saturday is coming up on Saturday, November 28th. In the last few years, I have been making it a point to support local shops as much as I can. I enjoy seeing the owner’s passion in what they do and meet new people in the community. Ladies of the Church
This post has been mulling around in my head for the last several days. Last weekend I headed back home to Illinois for a quick trip. Over the past year I have started listening to podcasts when I travel on my own. It makes the time go by faster than just listening to music. I have been left encouraged and inspired on more than one occasion. It was on one of Jamie’s most recent podcast…

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
How many of you just sang that title in your head when you looked at it? Anyone? Just me? Ok. Well, I haven’t posted in a while because I got caught up in making crafts. When I get into craft mode, I tend to push other things off and blogging happened to be one of those things. But, I’m back at it! Fall is my favorite season. The leaves changing color, the break in humidity, sweater weather, Harvest, wiener roasts and, of course, the pumpkins. Normally, I would have hit up a pumpkin patch at least once, but I didn’t do that this year. (And no, I’m not bitter because…

It’s Harvest Time!
It’s Harvest time here in Iowa and all around the Midwest, which also means that allergies are acting up as well. The first day of Fall for us here in North Central Iowa was not sweater weather either. Nope; in fact, this week is 80 degree weather for us. Our sweater weather was last week. I had to make a quick trip to Walmart and right across the street is a bean field that was being harvested. If you know bean fields, you know that bean dust fills the air. I went in the store and came out about five minutes later. As I was driving home, I noticed that…
